ETHICALLY SOURCED FINE JEWELLERY
Committed to sourcing the world's most beautiful and ethically sourced gemstones from established suppliers, Ana de Costa adheres to the Kimberley Process, never buying or trading diamonds from areas where it would encourage conflict or human suffering. Our commitment to sustainability extends to every aspect of our collections, including the gold we source. Whenever possible, we use either 100% recycled gold or Fairtrade gold. Bespoke jewellery commission clients can request either option.
-
100% RECYCLED GOLD
Recycled gold is created by melting down existing gold and refining it to produce new workable variations. The key benefits include a positive environmental impact, equivalent quality to non-recycled precious metals, and the opportunity for consumers to make thoughtful, sustainable choices.
-
FAIRTRADE CERTIFIED GOLD
Fairtrade Certified Gold is the world’s first independent ethical certification system for gold, tracing gold sourced from mines which meet the fairtrade gold standard. Fairtrade offers better prices, safe working conditions, local sustainability and fair terms of trade for workers.

KIMBERLEY PROCESS
ETHICALLY SOURCED GEMSTONES
The majority of Ana de Costa diamonds are laser inscripted with a unique Gemological Institute of America (GIA) serial number, invisible to the naked eye it allows the origin to be traced while protecting the perfection and beauty of the stone. This serial number also corresponds with the number on the GIA certificate, supplied with each stone. Coloured gemstones are also ethically sourced and are often supplied with laboratory certificates to verify their provenance.

MADE IN THE UK
LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS
London workshops ethically handcraft all of Ana’s pieces, for a fair and living wage. It is House policy to locally source as many necessary business materials as we can here in the UK, like our packaging handcrafted by a family business in Suffolk and our polishing cloths are sourced from a small business in Manchester.

VALUATIONS
A full valuation is supplied with each bespoke jewellery piece created by The House of Ana De Costa, and for all fine collection jewellery purchases from Ana De Costa London. This valuation is in accordance with information required by all household insurers. Valuations for non Ana De Costa pieces can be supplied at a standard cost of 3% of the value of the item.

PURCHASING GEMS FOR INVESTMENT
The House of Ana De Costa can advise clients and purchase loose gemstones for investment purposes. We predominantly focus on diamonds due to the valuation increases over the last decade, however we are also able to purchase other precious gemstones including rubies, emeralds and sapphires. We also work with international clients to arrange secure storage of valuable stones.
